I'm ambitious - I know what I want, and I'm not afraid to go for it. I'm social - I love my friends and family, and I consider everyone my friend. Even charity muggers. Although I admit they're quite difficult...

I'm comfortable with myself. Sometimes I even take myself out to dinner. What can I say, can't fault the company...

Right now I'm planning a trip to Santa Barbara in California; First a week long meditation retreat, followed by lazing on the beach, hiking in the hills and partying downtown. Sweeet.

I am genuine, strong personality, open minded. I like real people, eye contact. I have been described by others as sensitive, creative, caring, confident, stubborn sometimes, patient. I make people laugh with my jokes and my way of seeing the world. I don't take myself too seriously unless I need to. Music is a big part of my life as I play and write. I'm an laid-back guy who's about novelty, whether it's reading books, discovering new music, watching films, checking out exhibitions or trying new food that I've never had before. It's a fantastic world and I aim to enjoy it.

I read the paper every day, because I need to know what's going on in the world, but I always start with the sports section. I'd rather meet friends than watch TV, but like to unwind with a film or book. I love living in the city, but have to escape to the countryside every few months. I'm a bit of a geek, but I'm not just about my hobbies.

I'm shy at first but with the right person, I can open up and become quite chatty. If just takes a while to get there. I sometimes tend towards the melancholy things in life. I wouldn't say I was miserable though and can enjoy life and feel good about the world too.

I should add, (because that above paragraph makes me sound like a German scientist), that I have a sense of humour and like a laugh, it's quite a dry sense of humour though.

My main interests are music, film and reading. ideal night out would be a good gig in a small venue with a drink or three. Enjoy all sorts of films, mainly arty type stuff but not averse to the odd multiplex visit.

I also like getting out and about and want to travel more this year. Love exploring Britain's countryside in summer and finding quiet pubs (not something I do on my own though and miss having someone to wander with).

I am originally from Swansea but moved to Bristol for work.

Have a wicked sense of humour, and am normally sarcy with people once I get to know them, don't mean it, just happens. Good at seeing the funny side of even the worst things in life. This also helps a lot with friends and family.

If I am not out and about, I am at home watching a good film with good food and wine. I do Rugby not Footy, Guinnes not Lager, and Red not White wine.

I'm a 3rd year mechanical engineer at Bristol uni. I like making things, most notably a hovercraft, various drug paraphernalia, a design for a coin sorter (that is sold now in gadget shops around the UK), a Van de Graff generator and a Jacob's Ladder. I like science, computers, good music, good and bad films, and cooking. I also like playing squash, table tennis and power kiting. I'm half-American, half-English, and I grew up in Tokyo, New York and London.

Erm, dunno what to say about meself... I've recently moved back to the west country as I lost my job at Sumo Digital to the damn recession! *shakes fist*

But as all ways I have seen the silver lining and realised this could be somethin good. The chance to move back to bristol is a good one to start with! :D

Well this is all new to me! I have never had to sell anything before especially not myself !!! One of those difficult moments in life !! Whats the right thing to say whats not ??? pressure !!!!

I moved to Bristol last summer to get away from sunny Bournemouth.

I do not really know anybody in the area apart from my housemates and work friends etc and of course my Cat (MR RAGS)!!, so would be good to meet someone who can show me the sights and sounds of the south west!!

I am affectionate, kind, caring and thoughtful person, and would say I am a very good listeneer, I like to think that I take a lot of pride in how I look.

I have been really hurt in the past because of this it takes time for me to open and up and trust people because I am shy!!

aww, i hate doing these things!

I've had a bit of a year of change: from coasting along for a long time I'm starting to feel more motivated and positive about myself.

I love going to festivals, and expanded that last summer to going camping with an alarming frequency...and with some good luck when it came to the weather!

My friends mean a huge amount to me and I spend a lot of time in contact with them, be it in person, by text or on teh web. They just can't escape from me...BWAHAHAHAH!

I love music and art and always have a book on the go (not more than one though....my brain can't cope). I'm into knitting...I finally got past the scarf stage and have now completed three socks! There is another one coming....

I take my camera everywhere and the photos usually end up on facebook, much to the chagrin of my mates. My theory is, if i'm taking the photos i won't BE in them! This usually works.

I live in north Bristol with my housemate and our three cats: four males in my life is definitely enough thanks! But i could always do with more female company, if you get my drift.... ;)

Well, I'm not really sure what you'd want to know. There's far more about me than is likely to fit into this little "Self-Summary" box. Best bet is to ask.

i'm rubbish at writing these but it's making me do it. I like going out getting a little smashed, music is a big part of my life playing/making and watching especially watching live music. I smoke and as i've said drink.

A tricky one. I'm pretty cynical and a fan of the dead-pan sarcasm, which can sometimes mask my actually quite nice nature. It is really very obvious when I'm bored by something/someone. I'm doing a Philosophy degree but alas I'm not out to discover the meaning of life. Oh, and I really love police car chase shows. And short sentences it would seem.

I really hate filling these things out, summarising your life into a box. Im trying this out on the insistance of one of my sisters and female friends. I'm gonna try and not make this "I this, I that, I, I, I"
But if I start to refer to myself in a third person sense...I think people will start to get worried. Plus that only has a limited shelf life.

Im not a football or Rugby fan, nothing against it, just not my thing.
When I get chance, or when i can be motivated enough I read. Tend to go through spells, read nothing for ages and then blitz a fair few books.
Last book was The Portrait of Dorian Gray, my copy of Jane Eyre has been staring at me for far too long screaming "read me". So I guess that's next, always open to suggestions with books.At the moment im reading a book on philosophy by Bruce Lee. Again open to books on that subject.

Could do with getting back into my cooking, which is something i've kind of let slide. Need to get back on the cross trainer!

Looking for someone who can make me laugh (number 1), a decent brain and somebody who doesnt take themselves too seriously, cause i dont. I think it's because from my perspective their's nothing note-worthy about me, I'm my own worst critic :)

That said I will allow myself that I'm kind, generous, honest, funny (well, some people say so!), shy (but only with people I don't know yet), love music (I play guitar with some degree of success) and am ambitious.

I thought i'd just unpdate this since i haven't been on here properly in a while and i'm finding it more difficult than expected!
